COURTSENSE PRIVACY POLICY

Last Updated: April 2026

CourtSense ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the CourtSense mobile application (the "App").

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

1.1 Information You Provide

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

1.3 Product Interaction Data

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

Data is stored on your device and synced to our cloud backend (Supabase) under your account. We use your information to:

3. DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY

All plays, roster data, scouting reports, analytics, and user-created content are stored locally on your device and optionally synced to our secure cloud service (powered by Supabase) to enable cross-device access and team collaboration. Cloud-synced data is protected by row-level security policies ensuring only authorized users can access their own data. All data is encrypted in transit via TLS. We implement screen recording detection and screenshot alerts to protect proprietary play content. Watermarks are applied when screen recording is detected.

4. DATA SHARING

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third-party advertisers, brokers, or marketing networks. Your coaching data is synced to your account on our cloud backend (Supabase) for backup, multi-device access, and coach-to-player team collaboration — only members of your own team can access team-scoped data, enforced server-side by row-level security. External communication is limited to: (a) our cloud sync service (Supabase) hosted in the United States, and (b) Apple's App Store for subscription verification and purchase processing.

5. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY (COPPA COMPLIANCE)

CourtSense is intended for users 13 years of age or older. The App is designed for coaches and authorized team staff — not for direct use by children under 13. We do not knowingly create accounts for or collect personal information directly from children under 13.

If a coach manages a roster that includes minor players, the coach is responsible for obtaining any required parental or guardian consent before entering minor players' names, jersey numbers, performance metrics, or other personal data into the App. Such data is synced to our cloud backend (Supabase) under the coach's account, scoped to the coach's team via row-level security, and not shared outside that team.

If a player under 13 has somehow created an account in violation of these terms, a parent or guardian may request immediate deletion of that data by emailing support@courtsense.app, or the account holder may use the "Delete Account" feature in Settings to permanently wipe all associated data both on-device and on our servers.

6. YOUR RIGHTS

You can delete all your data at any time using the "One-Tap Wipe" or "Delete Account" features in Settings. This permanently removes all plays, roster data, scouting reports, analytics, audio narrations, usage statistics, and comments from your device. You may also manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID Account Settings.

7. SUBSCRIPTION DATA

Subscription purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. We do not collect or store payment information. Subscription status is verified in real-time through Apple's StoreKit 2 framework. The App offers the following subscription tiers:

All subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID Account Settings.

8. DATA RETENTION

Local data persists on your device until you explicitly delete it via "One-Tap Wipe," "Delete Account," or by uninstalling the App. Cloud data — including your coaching plays, player profiles, quiz submissions, narration recordings, and subscription state — is retained on our secure backend (Supabase, hosted in the United States) for as long as your account is active. When you use the "Delete Account" feature, all cloud data tied to your account is permanently deleted within 30 days, including audio recordings in our Storage buckets and every database row keyed to your authenticated user identifier. Uninstalling the App alone does NOT delete cloud data — to remove server-side data you must use "Delete Account" before uninstalling, or contact support@courtsense.app.

9. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date above and made available within the App.
